"I don’t eat during the day, just a simple slice of bread is enough," he said on the music reality show "Infinity Beyond: Greater Bay Area Season," as quotes by The Star.
"I used to be very fat," he added. "Once you’ve been overweight, you don’t want to go through that again."
Along with his strict diet, Kwok maintains a regular exercise routine and closely monitors his weight to ensure it stays within a healthy range, he said. He also revealed that he goes to bed at 6 a.m. and wakes up at 1 p.m. every day.
His diet and fitness habits quickly gained attention on social media, with many fans expressing concern that he might be overexerting himself. To ease their worries, Kwok took to Weibo to assure his followers that his routine works for him, but he cautioned them against trying to replicate it.
"One meal a day works for me, but please, don’t follow my example," he said.
Kwok, 60, began his career in entertainment as a trained dancer. He later honed his skills in acting and singing before achieving immense fame and fortune, earning the title of one of Hong Kong’s "Four Heavenly Kings."
The South China Morning Post estimated his net worth in 2021 at around US$20 million.
