According to a report by The Star, the divorce was officially completed on June 19, initiated by Nedim through a formal request to the court.
Following the court session, Nedim expressed to the media his desire to maintain a cordial relationship with Nora for the benefit of their children. He later reiterated this sentiment on his Instagram, stating: "Nothing has changed."
"It’s just that she’s no longer mine in the eyes of Islam," he added. "Trust that if she is mine, she will return to me."
Nora Danish, on her part, has asked for privacy and respect from the public, urging them to refrain from speculating about the reasons behind their mutual decision to part ways, reported The Straits Times.
"I hope there won’t be theories about our separation as we prioritize the harmony of both families and our children," she commented.
The actress disclosed their marital issues in April this year, noting that despite efforts to reconcile, divergent views had strained their relationship. Revealing that they had been living separately for three months, she stressed that divorce was considered a last resort at the time.
Born Nora Mohd Danish Hanif, the 42-year-old actress and Nedim married in 2017, both entering their second marriage. They had a son together in 2018, and each has a child from previous relationships.
Nedim is the son of Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz, a Malaysian politician and diplomat. Having held several significant positions, including Deputy Minister of Finance and Minister of Tourism and Culture, his father has been serving as the Malaysian Ambassador to the U.S. since Feb. 2023.
