Malaysian actress Diana Danielle has publicly urged her husband, actor Farid Kamil, to allow their divorce to proceed, calling it "cruel" to delay their separation when she no longer wishes to remain married.

"We have faced moments on the brink of breaking down countless times. Let’s not pretend there’s no ‘baggage’ from the previous months. I continued to trust and put in effort, but now, if he insists on keeping me bound until I’m suffocated, all the way through until the hakam (arbitrator) process, his actions are deeply cruel," she shared in a Instagram story on Nov. 3, The Straits Times reported.

She emphasised, "My intentions are very clear, and there’s nothing else I want except to no longer be under his responsibility. Let me go."

Danielle reaffirmed her stance in another Instagram story on Nov. 4, stating: "One thing is clear and constant: I am seeking a divorce. Anything more is simply a distraction. I will maintain this stance until the case is concluded."

According to Channel News Asia, the 32-year-old actress first announced her decision to file for a second divorce from Kamil on Instagram on Oct. 28.

In response, Kamil expressed his refusal to divorce in a social media post on Oct. 29, saying, "As everyone knows, I love my wife and children. I will do whatever it takes to fix things. Please pray for the best," The Star reported.

Malay Mail reports that Danielle first filed for divorce from Kamil in March last year, citing irreconcilable differences, prolonged disputes, and an inability to maintain their marriage. However, the couple reconciled a month later.

The couple married in November 2012 and have two children.
