As reported by The Star, the South Jakarta Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit initiated the investigation following a complaint filed in 2022 by Aryawardhana’s ex-wife Arina Winarto, which claimed discrepancies in PT Arjuna Advaya’s financial records during the time Aryawardhana served as the director of the company, from 2015 to 2021.

Winarto’s lawyer stated that having "complete control over the company’s financial operations," Aryawardhana closed the company in 2019 due to financial troubles, including an inability to pay rent.

However, subsequent examination of the company’s financial statements by Winarto revealed suspicious activities implying manipulation, and Aryawardhana was unable to offer adequate explanations for the inconsistencies found, as reported by Borneo Bulletin.

Aryawardhana and Winarto, who share three daughters, were married in June 2014 and divorced in Oct. 2021.

In December last year, Aryawardhana remarried Lestari, a 41-year-old well-known figure in the Indonesian music industry.
