Hong Kong singer Steven Cheung, whose career was derailed by infidelity scandals, has been seen working manual jobs to support his family amid financial struggles.

8 Days reported that Cheung was recently seen in an orange uniform walking to his work sites, as shown in photos shared by a netizen on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu.

Although the original post suggested he was working as a sanitation worker, some users speculated that he was actually doing cable wiring. His current contract job is said to pay approximately HK$800 (US$102.8) per day.

In a recent livestream, Cheung shared that he was facing severe financial difficulties, revealing that his electricity had been cut off due to unpaid bills. At one point, he even posted a QR code on Instagram, asking for financial support from his followers to help him through this tough period.

Despite his struggles, Cheung's hard work has earned him praise online, with many calling him "a real man" for earning an honest living under challenging circumstances. However, some fans expressed sadness over his situation, calling it "heartbreaking" to see the former star squander what once seemed like a promising career.

In 2023, Cheung was also seen working at a snack shop in Tin Shui Wan, Hong Kong, and reportedly took on other manual jobs, including construction work and distributing condoms and flyers, to support his family of six.

Cheung has spoken about the difficulty he faces in finding work due to his past relationship scandals, noting that many employers reject him once they learn his identity. His longest job in recent years lasted only six months.

Cheung, 39, has been a controversial figure in the media due to his relationship scandals. In 2019, he revealed that he had married model Au Yin Man, with whom he has four children.

The revelation caused a stir, as Cheung was in a public relationship with actress Hong Kong April Leung at the time, who only learned of Cheung’s marriage and fatherhood through media reports. Later, it was revealed that Cheung had been dating five women simultaneously. He vowed to change, promising to become a "good husband and father" and to support his family financially.

Cheung began his entertainment career in 2003 as a member of the boy band Boy'z, which later rebranded as Sun Boy'z and won several music awards. After the group disbanded in 2008, he pursued acting but achieved only limited success.
