Hong Kong actress Kristal Tin has revealed her battle with lung cancer and the surgery she underwent in Taiwan, with support from her husband, actor Chapman To.

The 47-year-old, known for starring in series like "Light Of Million Hopes" (2003) and "Every Move You Make" (2010), shared the news through a post accompanied by photos from the hospital, where To was by her side.

According to the Straits Times, Tin disclosed that a recent health check-up revealed shadows in her lungs. After further tests, she was diagnosed with early-stage adenocarcinoma, which was treatable through surgery.

She wrote: "There were shadows discovered in my lungs the last time I went through a health check-up. After several rounds of checks, it was confirmed to be early-stage adenocarcinoma and could be treated with surgery."

Tin expressed deep gratitude to To, whom she affectionately referred to as "Mr. To," for his dedication and care. She said: "Mr To was very nervous after learning this news. Aside from reading up about it online, he consulted several doctors, including those in Hong Kong, and recommended Dr Chao from Chang Gung Hospital (in Taiwan)."

While To was visibly anxious about her condition, Tin maintained a calm demeanor, even joking with her anesthesiologist before the procedure, asking them to check To’s heart rate instead of hers.

Reflecting on her recovery, she noted the challenges of regaining normal lung function after surgery, adding that the physical therapy staff provided clear guidance and encouragement throughout her healing process.

In her post, Tin concluded with a touching message to To, thanking him for his unwavering support: "Thank you for arranging everything and taking good care of me. I want to tell you: ‘It’s great to have you.’"

Tin, who married Chapman To in 2005, celebrated her 19th wedding anniversary with him in June. The couple, who chose not to have children, remains devoted to each other.
