Citing 8 World, Znews reported that Hu recounted the incident during a recent livestream, explaining that he and his team were targeted by a thief riding a bicycle.

"Out of nowhere, a man on a bicycle sped past us and snatched a bag from one of our makeup artists," Hu said. "The bag contained a passport, money, and other important documents."

Despite their attempts to chase the thief through several intersections, Hu and his team were unable to catch up with him. They subsequently reported the crime to the local police, but were told that the chances of recovering the stolen items were very slim. The group then reached out to the Chinese consulate for assistance in replacing the lost documents.

In addition to sharing his experience, Hu urged his fans to take extra precautions and protect their personal belongings while traveling. He offered guidance on handling such situations: report the incident to the police to obtain a statement, contact the embassy to cancel the passport, apply for a temporary travel document, and disable any credit cards. He also emphasized the importance of keeping passports in a safe place and not storing them with wallets to reduce the risk of theft.

At 54, Hu began his career in 1990, and just a year later, he won the title of "Top Chinese Male Model." He became the first Chinese male model to walk international fashion runways and has since represented top global fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Dolce & Gabbana, and Valentino.

In addition to his modeling work, Hu is a former editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar Men’s Style China. He has also ventured into acting and amassed a large fan following over the years.
