According to HK01, the couple purchased the property last year, and after completing renovations, they have recently moved in. The villa spans 238 square meters, featuring a private swimming pool and a small garden with flowers. The surrounding area is tranquil, with many trees creating a cool and airy atmosphere.
An architect friend helped the couple design the interior, which is painted in a gray tone. The furniture and household items follow a minimalist design, with shades of gray and green. Choi enjoys arranging flowers and placing plants around the house to add a personal touch.
In addition to their new villa, the couple reportedly owns several properties in Hong Kong and China, with an estimated total value of nearly HK$200 million. Most of these properties are rented out, providing an additional source of income.
Choi, 52, grew up in difficult circumstances. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother struggled with gambling. At the age of 17, Choi entered the entertainment industry after becoming the second runner-up in the 1991 Miss Hong Kong pageant. She worked tirelessly to support her family, paying off her mother's debts along the way.
The actress is best known for her roles in popular drama series like "The Romance of the White Hair Maiden," "Armed Reaction III," "Seven Swordsmen," and "Empresses in the Palace."
Despite her success, the burden of debt was overwhelming. In 2000, Choi declared that she would sever ties with her mother, who continued gambling and accumulating debt. The two reconciled in 2003 and repaired their relationship. Reflecting on her past, Choi says she now feels like a different person and is grateful for the hardships and pain she endured, as they have shaped the person she is today.
Choi often speaks highly of her husband Zhang, whom she married in 2008. The couple shares three children, and Choi admires Zhang’s ambition and continuous effort to succeed in his career. She believes his most attractive quality is his sincerity and respectful approach to others.
Zhang, 51, began his career as a stunt actor, notably appearing in the 2000 film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" as a stunt double for Zhang Ziyi. He later worked with her in the 2013 films "My Lucky Star" and "The Grandmaster."
