Citing China Times, Znews reports that a judge on Nov. 6 confirmed Lin’s involvement based on evidence presented in court, which included testimonies from store staff, police reports, a list of recovered items, and surveillance footage.
Along with the fine, Lin was ordered to complete community service. The court findings state that on March 18, Lin took a drink from a convenience store in Taichung without paying and drank it outside a nearby restaurant. Store staff noticed and reported her to the police, to whom she admitted the theft.
In another incident on July 10, Lin took food left outside an apartment building by a 26-year-old man, Hong, which she ate nearby, later explaining to police that she took it because she was hungry, as reported by ETtoday.

Lin has also been involved in other recent incidents, such as property damage at hotels, which has led to her being banned from certain establishments. She is currently unemployed, facing financial challenges, and often seen wandering on the streets. She is also embroiled in legal disputes over inheritance with her late husband’s son.
Lin gained public attention for her relationship with Lee Kun-Cheng, a well-known Taiwanese lyricist who had written songs for artists like Fong Fei Fei and Lo Ta Yu. In the 1990s, Lee was nominated three times for Best Dialect Song Lyricist and served as a judge at the Golden Melody Awards. Known as the "Godfather of vinyls," he collected over 20,000 vintage records, as reported by 8 Day.

In February 2023, Lee married 26-year-old Lin while in the ICU, two months before he passed away from colorectal cancer. After his death in April, Lin inherited a house but reportedly sold it and several other valuable items before moving into a hotel, sparking further conflicts with Lee’s son over inheritance matters.
