Fourteen Vietnamese content creators have been selected to take part in the annual YouTube FanFest this weekend.

"Am Thuc Me Lam" (Mother’s Cuisine) featuring 55-year-old Duong Thi Cuong, a farmer in the northern province of Thai Nguyen, is among the 14 Vietnamese channels taking part this year.

It cashes in on the ageless appeal of traditional dishes like sweet rice ball, boiled snail and crab and vegetable soup.

Created in February 2019, "Am Thuc Me Lam" has nearly 700,000 subscribers and garnered over 71 million views.

The other Vietnamese channels that have been selected include beauty blogger An Phuong with 400,000 subscribers and dance cover group B-Wild Official with nearly 645,000 subscribers.

The event, which will be held virtually this year, gathers the biggest stars and celebrities on the platform to celebrate the creativity of artist communities.

Fans can watch live performances, special performances, creator collaborations, and other activities by some of the world’s top YouTube stars.

Organizers have invited over 150 personalities from various fields such as cooking, gaming and dance from Vietnam, the U.S., Australia, India, Japan, and other countries.

The roster also includes K-pop girl group ITZY, American Alex Burriss (known online as Alex Wassabi) and Indian Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps).

Organizers said the event would be live-streamed on YouTube FanFest's official channel on October 11.
