Members of the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (VAMM) sold over 3 million motorbikes domestically last year, up 120.5% against the year earlier.

On average, 5.8 motorbikes were sold every minute during 2022, with the total domestic sales nearly 6 times higher than automobile sales.

VAMM members posted sales of roughly 753,600 motorbikes in the first quarter, over 655,400 units in the second quarter, nearly 762,200 in the third quarter, and approximately 832,000 units in the fourth quarter, gaining a respective year-on-year increase of 7.4%, roughly 1.8%, approximately 110%, and nearly 207.7%.

VAMM has five members, Honda, Yamaha, Piaggio, Suzuki and SYM. Non-member brands include Kymco, BMW Motorrad, Ducati, Triumph, Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, and Harley-Davidson.
