Vietnam will compete in the 2022 U23 Dubai Cup with some of Asia's top teams this March.

The tournament this year will gather 10 U23 teams: China, Croatia, Iraq, Japan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, the UAE, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

U23 Dubai Cup is a part of Vietnam’s plan in preparation for the SEA Games this May and the U23 Asian Cup in Uzbekistan a month later.

In the first round, Vietnam will face Iraq on March 23. They will play China three days later in round two.

From round three, the fixtures will be decided based on the standings after the first two rounds. The first position will face the second, third will play fourth, fifth will play sixth and so on. The final result will be decided after round three.

U23 Vietnam haven't announced the training plan for the tournament, as they are still taking time to rest after winning the AFF U23 Youth Championship last week with a 1-0 victory against Thailand in the final.
