Oman will arrive in Hanoi with 49 members including 30 players to prepare for their upcoming World Cup qualifier against Vietnam at My Dinh National Stadium.

Among players are many young talents.

After losing 0-1 to Saudi Arabia and drawing 2-2 against Australia, Oman with eight points are peaking fourth in group B with no chance left to qualify for the 2022 World Cup. However, head coach Branko Ivankovic still considers Vietnam and China clashes as part of preparations for the 2023 Asian Cup.

Vietnam will gather in Hanoi for training from March 13. They earned their very first points in the final round of World Cup qualifiers by beating China 3-1 on Feb. 1.

In the first leg last year, Vietnam lost 1-3 to Oman. On March 24, the two teams will meet again, this time on Vietnam’s home ground My Dinh. Five days later, the Golden Dragons will conclude their journey in the final World Cup qualifying round by playing Japan.
