They had dinner at Lafayette Restaurant which is located in an old house in Paris.
This was originally the villa of Marquis Lafayette, a famous historical figure in the 17th century. The house was put up for sale in 2019, then bought and transformed into a high-end restaurant, a short distance from the Élysée Palace.
The house has been restored to its former glory with a 4,300 square meter ground floor, a dining room that can accommodate 100 guests, in addition to a VIP room and a private wine cellar.

The restaurant is like a miniature gallery with works of art and antiques several hundred years old, such as carpets from the reign of King Louis XIV, historic paintings, candlesticks, and lamps.

The restaurant's head chef is Mory Sacko, winner of the show "Top Chef" in France. He also owns a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Lafayette’s menu is a blend of French, American and African cuisine.
Some of the restaurant's signature dishes include French-style pâté en croûte, with Senegalese specialty yassa chicken inside, typical American corn soup under a puff pastry, and Lafayette-style fried chicken served in a silver woven basket.
Dessert is caramelized mango tatin or hibiscus panna cotta topped with bissap jelly and fresh pomegranate seeds.
