The grandeur of the restaurant's wooden door welcomes diners with intricate carvings of Tibetan symbols.
Under its high ceilings, earthy incense circles the air as enchanting Tibetan tunes fill the open atmosphere.
Inspired by her near-death experience on a trip to Tibet, Jade Tran, founder of Shamballa, had a deep reflection on the values true to her and the years she had remaining. She wished to commit to vegetarianism for the rest of her life. Jade found the transition daunting with temptations; besides, there were no standout vegetarian options in the area.
This led to Shamballa's conception as a haven for vegetarian diets, offering an abundance of flavors to satiate any diner.
According to Jade, the Greenhouse in Da Nang is Shamballa's fourth location. There are two others in HCMC and one in Hoi An. All four restaurants are tucked away on quiet streets, and are distinctly different from one another.

The Greenhouse's spotlight is its large open garden atop its dining spaces, where fresh vegetables are grown for cooking.
Dining under natural sunlight among the plants, relaxing to the gentle breezes ruffling the leaves, and viewing the Da Nang landscape will bring peace and help one get rid of negative energy.
The restaurant also offers private dining rooms for meetings and events, as well as a hall for cooking classes that classes ranging from beginner-level Vietnamese cuisine to complex Shamballa dishes. The classes can host groups of up to 12, as well as small and private classes on demand.
Some of Shamballa’s signature standouts are the crispy mushrooms, made with abalone mushrooms mixed in a sweet and sour sauce, as well as the banh xeo (crispy pancake) served alongside fresh herbs harvested from the top garden.
The restaurant also serves a wide variety of beverages, from cocktails to traditional herbal drinks. Selections of red and white wines are available with bottle service for elevated events and evenings.
