Actress Bernice Liu enjoyed Vietnamese cuisine at a Michelin-starred restaurant and visited the Instagram-famous Train Street during her trip to Hanoi last month.

A few days ago, she posted some photos taken at Tam Vi Restaurant, which was awarded with one Michelin star last year, on Instagram.

"In the style of a classic tea house of northern Vietnam and equipped with Chinese-style furniture, this traditional cuisine restaurant serves northern dishes along with central and southern dishes. Getting acquainted with Vietnamese cuisine, you will discover flavors made from local ingredients that add more authentic flavor and umami," Liu wrote.

Signature dishes of the restaurant on Yen The Street include Vietnamese ham with periwinkle (snails) that comes with fresh herbs, vegetables and rice vermicelli with fish sauce.

Liu also posted photos taken at the Train Street inside Hanoi’s Old Quarter.

The street runs around two kilometers from Le Duan through Tran Phu, Cua Dong and Phung Hung Streets. While one part of it is blocked off due to safety concerns, another part between Tran Phu and Dien Bien Phu streets is not and draws foreign tourists in droves.

This is not the first time the 44-year-old actress has traveled to Vietnam. In 2018, she visited Hoi An after breaking up with her boyfriend.

In September last year, she also had a vacation at a five-star resort in Phu Quoc.

Liu rose to fame when she won Miss Chinese International 2001, initiating her move from Canada to Hong Kong where she had to learn Cantonese before scoring her first role in the long-running TVB sitcom "Virtues of Harmony" (2001-2002).

After leaving Hong Kong’s TVB station, she started a wine business, Bellavizio, which produces wine in Bordeaux, France, and Napa, California, U.S.
