Hanoi restaurants among Asia's 25 best: Tripadvisor

The Rhythms Restaurant came in 15th on the list as part of the 2023 Travelers' Choice 'Best of the Best' Restaurants Awards announced on Wednesday.

Located on the 7th floor of La Sinfonía del Rey Hotel & Spa in downtown, the restaurant provides a captivating view of central Hanoi's Hoan Kiem Lake (Sword Lake) and the capital's historic Old Quarter.

"The restaurant concept is formed in harmony with the rhythms of the King's Symphony, showcasing an orchestra of Vietnamese authentic cuisine embellished with the grandeur of royal ambiance," a Tripadvisor reader wrote.

Its menu highlights traditional Vietnamese cuisine representing all regions of the country, with signature dishes including roasted chicken north-west Vietnam style, local spring rolls, and banana rolls and ice cream.

A set menu costs VND600,000 (US$24.60) per person.

Cloud Nine Restaurant on the 9th floor of the La Siesta Premium Hotel on Hang Be Street was ranked 24th on the list.

Its classical architecture is reminiscent of the French colonial Indochina era, with black, white, blue-gray, and cream colors.

The restaurant features iconic dishes from Vietnam's northern, central, and southern regions, such as fragrant beef noodles, grilled beef, and bun cha, a signature Hanoi dish that features a combination of Vietnam's most ubiquitous traditional ingredients: rice vermicelli, grilled pork and a mixture of fish sauce, sugar, lime juice, garlic, and chili.

A lunch set costs VND595,000 while a dinner set costs VND895,000.

The winners of the awards were decided by an analysis of millions of reviews and ratings collected over the past year from travelers around the world.

Japan's Ise Sueyoshi Restaurant was named the best fine dining establishment in Asia, followed by India's Avartana and Thailand's Akira Back.
