Mountainous Son La Province recorded a temperature of 38 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, the highest recorded this year as the heat envelops northern regions.

Several central Vietnam localities also saw temperatures as high as 39 degrees (Ha Tinh) on Tuesday, with moisture levels at around 40-55%.
