Northern Vietnam will enjoy sunny days starting March thanks to the cold air weakening, although nighttime temperatures will still be around 11-17 degrees Celsius.

The region has been experiencing cold nights and early mornings over the past few days due to the impact of cold fronts. Temperatures in mountainous regions dropped below 6 degrees in high-altitude locations, while the plains saw temperatures at 12-14 degrees.

But starting Wednesday, the cold air would weaken, pushing northern Vietnam's temperature up by 2-3 degrees every day, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.

U.S. weather forecast service AccuWeather predicted Hanoi's temperatures on Monday and Tuesday would be 15-23 degrees, before rising to 19-30 degrees towards the weekend. High-altitude locations like Lao Cai's Sa Pa are expected to see temperatures at 7-18 degrees until mid-week, before rising to 10-17 degrees towards the weekend.

Central Vietnam will see rain in areas from Quang Binh to Khanh Hoa until Tuesday. Rain levels from Quang Tri to Binh Dinh are predicted to range from 15-50 mm.

Areas from Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue will experience the highest daytime temperatures of below 23 degrees, while areas from Da Nang to Binh Dinh will have temperatures at 24-27 degrees, and Phu Yen to Binh Thuan at 28-31 degrees.

Southern Vietnam and the Central Highlands will experience sunny days from the beginning of the week, with the highest daytime temperatures in the Central Highlands at 25-28 degrees, and 32-34 degrees in southern Vietnam.
