Vietnam’s gasoline prices on Monday fell 4.39-5.03% to the lowest in the year-to-date.

A liter of popular RON 95 gasoline now costs VND23,210 ($0.99), down VND1,120. That of biofuel RON 92 E5 costs VND22,230, down VND1,020.

This means prices have fallen 28.98-29.39% since this year's peak on June 21.

Prices of other fuels, including diesel, kerosine, and mazut, also dropped 4.14-6.92%.

But a liter of diesel remains costlier than that of gasoline at VND24,180, after two consecutive upward adjustments in late August and early September.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade and Ministry of Finance said global prices have decreased 5.3-9.5% since the last adjustment on stronger U.S. dollar and interest rate hike.
