BTS, Den are Spotify's most streamed artists in Vietnam

South Korean band BTS and local rapper Den Vau were Spotify's most streamed artists in Vietnam this year, with American pop star Taylor Swift coming in third place.

According to Spotify's annual year-end report, "Wrapped," which lists the year’s most streamed artists and tracks in various countries, this is the second consecutive year that BTS has been the most-streamed artist in Vietnam.

This proves that K-pop remains the most popular music genre on the Vietnamese market.

The seven-member boy band own three of the top five most-streamed songs in Vietnam, including "Butter", "Dynamite" and "Yet To Come".

In addition, BTS also recorded four of the top five most streamed albums, including "Proof" at the top of the list.

According to the list, three of the top 5 most streamed artists on Spotify are Vietnamese singers.

Rapper Den Vau came in second place in the ranking, followed by pop artist Son Tung M-TP and indie singer Vu came in fourth and fifth place, respectively

The list of top Vietnamese artists also included hip-hop boy band Da LAB and ballad singer Hoang Dung.

According to the streaming platform, Bad Bunny was the most-streamed global artist for the third year in a row. The Puerto Rican rapper and singer’s tracks have raked in more than 18.5 billion streams on Spotify so far this year.

Taylor Swift, Drake, The Weekend and BTS, respectively, rounded out the top five in the category.

British singer Harry Styles' "As It Was" took the No. 1 spot on the list of most-streamed songs globally.

Spotify, which began Vietnam operations in 2018, is currently available in 283 markets. It has around 456 million active users.
