Gunman at large after deadly Vietnam shooting
Stills from security camera footage show alleged gunman Pham Quoc Huy in Vinh Long Province in southern Vietnam.
A possible hitman killed at least one person when he shot three members of a family and burned their house down, allegedly over bad debts, in southern Vietnam.

Pham Quoc Huy, 50, allegedly rode a motorbike from Ho Chi Minh City-adjacent Dong Nai Province to 60-year-old Ho Vu Binh's house in the Mekong Delta Province of Vinh Long’s Mang Thit District on Thursday.

Following a quarrel with members of the family, Huy used a gun to shoot 59-year-old Ho Ngoc Can, 60-year-old Nguyen Thi Kim Hue, and Binh’s son, 40-year-old Ho Binh Dang.

Huy then used gasoline to burn down the house, before escaping the scene on a motorbike. The victims were rushed to the hospital, but Hue succumbed to her injuries and died.

Police forces from Mang Thit District and Vinh Long Province are currently searching for Huy.

An initial investigation revealed that Dang used to work in Dong Nai and borrowed money from people he could not pay back. He returned to his hometown and people have recently been visiting his house to demand their money back.
