The Ministry of Public Security has requested Hanoi authorities to temporarily suspend the share transfer of 762 companies related to property developer Van Thinh Phat which is allegedly involved in a fraud.

Apart from these companies, the Hanoi Department of Investment and Planning has ordered 14 individuals related to Van Thinh Phat to stop all transactions involving property, shares and capital amid an ongoing investigation.

These individuals include Truong My Lan – chairwoman of Van Thinh Phat, Truong Hue Van – CEO of Windsor Property, and Ho Buu Phuong, former financial director of Van Thinh Phat.

The security ministry has also sent the list of the 762 companies to Ho Chi Minh City Tax Department to request information concerning their tax payment and financial activities.
