Hoang Quang Viet, a director of steel maker Hoa Phat Group, has registered to sell two million shares to his children between February 20 and March 20.

Viet owns 28.2 million HPG shares, or a 0.49% stake.

The deal will be worth over VND40 billion ($1.69 million) at current prices, and will reduce his ownership to 0.45%.

Hoang Nhat Anh and Hoang Nhat Minh, his children, do not own HPG shares.

Last year another director, Nguyen Ngoc Quang, sold VND5 million shares to his daughter for over VND110 billion.

In 2021 deputy chairmen Tran Tuan Duong and Nguyen Manh Tuan sold 12 million shares each to their children.
