Huyen, 47, said in a letter to employees that the company needs a "new wind" after recent events. "It is very difficult to say goodbye, but my leaving the CEO chair at this time is necessary for the restructuring of FLC to succeed."
She was deputy CEO from 2015 to 2020.
In July last year she was also named deputy chairwoman after some of the company’s top leaders, including chairman Trinh Van Quyet, were arrested for stock manipulation.
Two deputy CEOs, Dam Ngoc Bich and Le Thi Truc Quynh, also resigned Monday. Bich, 46, has been in the job since 2015 and was in charge of the property business.
Quynh held the title since 2020 and was in charge of strategic customers before being moved to finance.
Since last year six people have resigned from the board. The company has not been able to get a quorum for an extraordinary general meeting to appoint new executives.
