Binh Son Refinery posts $616M profit in 2022

Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical, which accounts for one third of fuel supply in Vietnam, reported a net profit of nearly VND14.5 trillion (US$616.2 million) last year, up 115% from the previous year.

In a financial statement, the company, which operates the Dung Quat Oil Refinery in the central province of Quang Ngai, said it earned a net revenue of VND167.123 trillion in 2022, up 65% year-on-year.

By the end of December, Dung Quat Oil Refinery’s total assets were VND77.796 trillion, up 16.5% from the beginning of the year.

The refinery has been operating at 110% of its capacity during the Lunar New Year holidays to meet the demand for transportation.
