Citing HK01, news outlet Znews reported that during their marriage, Kwok and Au had a high level of trust in each other. Consequently, Kwok alone holds ownership of their marital assets, with Au opting not to co-own them to sidestep complications.

This made the division of the couple’s assets a hot topic of discussion after Kwok and Au declared their divorce on Thursday.

Among the assets registered under Kwok’s name are several valuable real estate properties such as those in Hong Kong’s Sai Kung neighborhood, the Chung Kiu commercial building in Mong Kok, and the Taikoo Shing residential complex. Notably, even their two children are not listed as owners of these properties.

Kwok is a renowned actor with TVB, famous for his performances in "Lin Shing Kuet" and "Black Heart White Soul." He stands out as one of the few actors to have won the Best Actor award at the TVB Anniversary Awards three times.

Au initially launched her career as a singer before transitioning to acting. She gained fame for her performance in "Journey to the West II."

The pair was in a relationship for seven years prior to their marriage in 2006.
