WebComm and VinCSS have announced a strategic partnership to address cybersecurity issues in Taiwan and Vietnam, focusing on advanced digital identity and IoT security solutions.

The rapid growth of IoT devices brings significant security challenges, especially in terms of cost and complexity.

IoT attacks surged by 600% between 2016 and 2017, and with the IoT projected to reach 29.42 billion devices by 2030, the global IoT security market is expected to hit US$20.98 billion by 2028, led by the Asia Pacific region.

Traditional em authentication methods, like passwords, are vulnerable to security threats and costly to manage.

In Vietnam, the recent implementation of Decision 2345 by the State Bank of Vietnam has increased the demand for secure and user-friendly authentication methods like FIDO.

This need arises not only in the banking and finance sector but also expands to many other fields.

WebComm’s strong expertise and experience with FIDO solutions are valuable to meet this need.

Leveraging the combined strengths of both WebComm and VinCSS, the collaboration will focus on technology training, business development, and seamless technical integration.

This partnership aims to refine existing solutions and effectively bring them to market.

WebComm and VinCSS will strategically cooperate to promote each other's solutions.

For the partnership, WebComm is bundling the zero trust solution with VinCSS's IoT FDO solutions in Taiwan.

VinCSS excels in IoT security and has pioneered several world-first FDO solutions, including FDO cameras, FDO car park systems, and the FDO network deployment solution, many of which have been successfully commercialized worldwide.

These resources help WebComm further expand its current offerings to meet the growing need to secure IoT devices for a diverse range of customers.

Similarly, VinCSS will promote WebComm's FIDO digital identity solutions and OETH Cloud Identity Solution in Vietnam.

Cooperating with WebComm will enable VinCSS to complete its comprehensive 360-degree passwordless authentication solutions, addressing all customer needs, including hardware and SaaS components, workforce and external user authentication, and compatibility with the specific commercial platforms that customers currently use.

This collaboration will also help accelerate the adoption of passwordless transformation in Vietnam.

Jay Chen, General Manager of WebComm, said that by combining their OETH SaaS Solution and the expertise in FIDO digital identity solutions with VinCSS's pioneering IoT FDO technologies, they can address the growing security needs in Taiwan, Vietnam, and other countries together.

This collaboration not only enhances both companies' product offerings but also paves the way for significant advancements in the cybersecurity landscape across the global market.

Meanwhile, Simon Trac Do, CEO of VinCSS, believes that with the combined experience and strengths of both parties, this collaboration will bring significant changes.

"It will impact not only research, development, and business activities but also contribute to transforming the cybersecurity landscape in Vietnam, Taiwan, and many other markets," said Simon.
