Novaland promotes mergers and acquisitions, conducts research, expands land funds, and invests in large-scale real estate projects in a variety of provinces and cities.

Land funds and markets expansion strategy

In early March, Novaland announced it would be the developer of the Grand Sentosa project (Nha Be District). The company has also researched a number of projects in the Thu Thiem area.

The land fund expansion strategy of Novaland is mirrored in other areas. If this unit previously focused on HCMC and some border markets in the south, including Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, and Binh Thuan, it has recently approached and researched land funds in a range of locations, including Lam Dong, Binh Thuan, Khanh Hoa, and Phu Yen.

Besides, Novaland intends to release over 15,000 new items in 2022. In particular, the company has launched Long Island, an area of about 30 hectares in the Ba Ria-Vung Tau market. The company is also looking into a Safari planned land fund, as well as other places totaling about 3,000 hectares.

Novaland has recently completed a 3,000-hectare M&A land fund in Phan Thiet. The company is expected to launch the NovaWorld Mui Ne project, which spans over 700 hectares, in April this year. The group aspires to create a resort tourism megacity with a variety of product lines targeting high-end clientele.

Novaland also announced ambitions to enter the Khanh Hoa market in 2019. The investor is expected to announce the launch of Novaworld, a 600-hectare project close to Tran Phu Street in Nha Trang, in June this year.

The company also targets the Lam Dong market with the Lien Khuong-Prenn urban area in Duc Trong District, which spans over 3,000 hectares, and NovaWorld Da Lat, on a scale of 1,000 hectares.

The group is still completing M&A projects on a scale of more than 600 hectares in Dong Nai, where the Aqua City smart eco-urban area is being built. The 280-hectare NovaWorld Lang Co project will also be launched in Hue by the real estate developer.

"We consider many factors when deciding where to invest, including tourism potential, infrastructure connectivity, and expectations to turn that location into a new tourist destination, contributing to the regional economy, as we have done in Binh Thuan with NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Centara Mirage Mui Ne Resort, PGA Golf, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau with NovaWorld Ho Tram," said a Novaland representative.

Targeting 100,000 products in 5 years

After five years on the HCM Stock Exchange (HoSE), Novaland (NVL) has grown from a residential real estate company in HCMC to one of Vietnam's leading urban developers, with a portfolio of projects including urban real estate and tourist urban real estate.

The company owned 668 hectares of land in HCMC at the time of listing, which expanded to 2,700 hectares in 2018 and roughly 10,600 hectares by the end of 2021.

Its Gross Development Value (GDV) increased from $52 billion to $71 billion. The company's net worth is evaluated at VND324,000 billion ($14.1 billion) based on the projects under construction, which is 2.2 times its present market capitalization and able to increase by up to 120 percent.

Novaland's significant projects, when developed and completed, are expected to generate revenues of VND36,000 billion, VND31,000 billion, and VND10,000 billion, respectively.

Many important projects, like the NovaWorld Phan Thiet project, are following the direction of the national transportation system in the south.

The 1,000-hectare project is on track to be completed in 2023, five years ahead of schedule. The developer also kept a careful eye on the implementation of major national transportation infrastructure projects in Binh Thuan and the southern vital economic zone, such as Phan Thiet Airport, Long Thanh International Airport, and Dau Sec-Phan Thiet Expressway.

Novaland plans to launch 100,000 real estate products onto the market between 2021 and 2025, with a total projected value of VND600 billion.

Furthermore, NovaGroup and its core partners Novaland, Nova Service, and Nova Consumer are establishing a complete ecosystem of utility products and services in order for Novaland's projects to become livable urban places for residents and top tourist destinations.

Nova service employees concentrated on investing in and managing the chain of service utilities in metropolitan areas, making substantial contributions to the development and operation of the Aqua City, NovaWorld Ho Tram, and NovaWorld Phan Thiet projects.
