This marks the second cooperation between Sun Group and Marriott International, after the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay resort project that has brought Phu Quoc many global awards and titles.
According to the agreement, Marriott International, which operates more than 8,600 luxury hotels and resorts worldwide, will take over management and operation of the Ritz Carlton Reserve and The Luxury Collection resorts in the south of Hon Thom Island, elevating Hon Thom, Phu Quoc to a globally recognized high-end tourist destination.

The Ritz Carlton, with hundreds of years of experience, currently operates and manages more than 110 hotels and resorts in more than 35 countries and regions. The number of projects and hotels named The Ritz Carlton is very limited as very few are qualified to be managed by this brand.
Ritz Carlton Reserve is the highest level in the standards of The Ritz Carlton. These are considered "protected areas" that bring guests unique and luxurious experiences beyond imagination.
Currently, there are only six Ritz Carlton Reserve-branded resorts worldwide, which are in Dorado (Puerto Rico), Niseko (Japan), Bali (Indonesia), Krabi (Thailand), Los Cabos (Mexico), and Jiuzhaigou (China). In the near future, Hon Thom in Phu Quoc, Vietnam will be the 7th "reserve".

Ritz Carlton Reserve Hon Thom Island is the next 6-star masterpiece of "resort king" Bill Bensley and Sun Group. 40 villas with areas ranging from 200 to 2,000 m2 are designed in the style of typical Polynesian high-roofed houses in the north of Oahu Island, Hawaii. The modern design is mixed with wildness, both liberal and free but also very private and mysterious, between nature and the sea and sky of the pearl island.
One of the operational highlights of Ritz Carlton Reserve is its commitment to preserving and respecting the natural ecosystem.
These branded resorts are not only unique structures hidden in the middle of pristine land, but they are also meticulously cared for to minimize impact on nature, enhance the natural beauty of the surrounding environment, and encourage activities that help raise people's environmental awareness.
As a result, the Hon Thom resort has a two-story activity center with a garden where young guests can learn about nature protection through Jean-Michel Cousteau's Environmental Ambassador program.
The Luxury Collection is one of the largest luxury hotel brands in the world, owning nearly 120 hotels and resorts in 35 countries and territories.
Each hotel in The Luxury Collection tells a distinct story, infused with the charm and indigenous cultural treasures of the locality, making each traveler's journey resemble an immersive movie with unexpected emotions.
The Luxury Collection Hon Thom Island Hotel is located right next to Bai Trao, the most beautiful beach in Hon Thom. The system of 305 rooms, ranging from 50 to 250 m2, was designed by a team of architects at 10Design, a globally famous design consulting unit.

The Luxury Collection Hon Thom Island carries the image of a giant wind-filled sail stretching out into the ocean. With the hotel leaning on the mountain and facing the sea, guests will be able to fully enjoy the scenery of the Phu Quoc sunset.
When put into operation, The Luxury Collection Hon Thom Island is expected to bring full luxury living and entertainment amenities to guests, such as a wave pool, children's play area, gym & spa treatment, sauna, a restaurant, a rooftop bar, and a large conference room of 900 m2.
According to Sun Group Chairman of the Board of Directors Dang Minh Truong, the company is pleased to continue to promote its partnership with Marriott International in Phu Quoc after the success of the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, one of many celebrities and world billionaires' favorite resorts.
"With the two corporations signing a cooperation agreement to manage two projects, Ritz Carlton Reserve and The Luxury Collection in Hon Thom, Phu Quoc, the above successes will continue," Truong added.
The chairman said the fact that Marriott International's top luxury brands appear together in the south of Phu Quoc Island has shown global recognition of the island as an attractive and luxurious tourist destination.
The partnership between Sun Group and Marriott International also increases the total number of hotels, resorts, and golf courses owned by Sun Group in Vietnam to 17. Most are honored by prestigious international award organizations.
The successful collaboration with Marriott in bringing two luxury brands to Hon Thom, Phu Quoc, once again demonstrates the position of this "Asia's Leading Integrated Tourism Group" in the resort tourism sector. It also marks a new milestone, highlighting the exceptional reach of Vietnam's resort tourism on the map of luxury travel worldwide.
