Edaily reports that the couple recently acquired the property, which is located in the Pyeongchang-dong area of Seoul and features a basement and two floors above ground, spanning a total of 330 square meters. Its interior is currently under construction.
Lee Hyori reportedly owns three-quarters of the property’s value, while Lee Sang-soon holds the remaining quarter.
The Pyeongchang-dong district is home to numerous South Korean celebrities, such as actors Choi Soo Jong and Ha Hee Ra, actor Yoo Hae Jin, broadcaster Hong Jin Kyung, and singer Yoon Jong Shin.
In a prior interview, Lee Sang-soon expressed their decision to return to Seoul after an 11-year stay in Jeju, stating: "I’ll be heading to Seoul around autumn to perform. It’s challenging to work from Jeju due to the training requirements."
The musician also mentioned his anticipation of reuniting, exchanging ideas, and collaborating with friends and colleagues in the music industry upon their return to Seoul. Additionally, he disclosed plans to rent out their Jeju residence.
Lee Hyori entered the entertainment industry in 1998 and first rose to fame as a member of the popular girl group Fin.K.L. She launched her solo career in 2003.
As of 2021, the South China Morning Post estimated her net worth to be between US$30-40 million.
She married Lee Sang-soon, 50, in 2013.
