Novaland announces strategic partnership with Michael Dukakis Institute

Novaland Group and the Michael Dukakis Institute for Leadership and Innovation held an online meeting on Wednesday to update the implementation of their strategic partnership contract.

The partnership signed more than a month earlier aimed to establish Michael Dukakis Institute - Vietnam and implement Artificial Intelligence programs.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a crucial technology in Vietnam and globally, serving digital transformation, providing solutions for products and services to develop smart urban models. The People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just established an Advisory Council for AI Research and Application, which includes Duong Anh Duc - vice chairman of the committee, and many leading experts in science and technology from across Vietnam.

According to the contract, both sides will establish Michael Dukakis Institute-Vietnam in NovaWorld Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan) to host leadership and creative training programs in the era of artificial intelligence. The program will be taught online by professors, scholars and leaders from the U.S. and other member countries of Artificial Intelligence World Society Innovation Network (AIWS.net).

Besides, Michael Dukakis Institute will support the implementation of a series of AI World Society programs at NovaWorld Phan Thiet such as: building the world's first History of AI house, Vint Cerf House, Michael Dukakis House, AI summer camps for students of all ages, and annual AIWS award events (World Leader in AIWS). Michael Dukakis Institute - Vietnam will start organizing events in Phan Thiet from 2021.

The online discussion featured distinguished guests including Michael Dukakis, president of Michael Dukakis Institute and former governor of Massachusetts, and professors from Harvard University and MIT who are members of the Board of Directors of Michael Dukakis Institute, including Thomas Patterson (Harvard University), Alex Sandy Pentland (MIT), Nazli Choucri (MIT), Marc Rotenberg (director of the Center for AI and Digital Policy at Michael Dukakis Institute), Nguyen Anh Tuan (director of Michael Dukakis Institute, co-founder of AI World Society Innovation Network - AIWS.net), John Quelch (Harvard Business School), co-founder of Boston Global Forum, Vint Cerf, one of the fathers of the internet, Google vice president, mentor of AIWS.net and a member of the Board of Leaders at AIWS City, Bui Thanh Nhon, chairman of Novaland Group, Bui Xuan Huy, CEO of Novaland Group, Pham Phu Ngoc Trai, representative of the Sustainable Development Council of Novaland Group, and leaders of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee.

Michael Dukakis was the governor of Massachusetts for three terms. He is a successful urban manager who helped create the Massachusetts miracle, and was the Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in the 1988 election. Historic South Station in Boston was named Michael Dukakis Transportation Center in 2014. The Michael Dukakis Institute for Leadership and Innovation was founded and is led by Michael Dukakis, with the participation of top professors from Harvard University and MIT.

Governor Michael Dukakis and leaders of Michael Dukakis Institute will support Novaland to develop NovaWorld Phan Thiet into a bright spot for technological and cultural innovation in the AI era, a gathering place for leaders, innovators, and elites of the world. This will link NovaWorld Phan Thiet to AIWS City and AIWS University and help it become a destination for the AI community from around the world.
