Climate change necessitates architecture and construction industry shift towards sustainable development, design changes, planning innovations, and net zero goals to minimize environmental impacts.

In the increasingly severe context of climate change, shifting the architecture and construction industry towards sustainable development is not just an option but has become an urgent requirement.

This not only demands changes in design and planning but also requires innovation in building materials, emphasizing the importance of the net zero goal in minimizing negative impacts on the environment.

This has become an urgent task, requiring the search for and application of environmentally friendly building materials, reducing CO2 emissions, and enhancing energy efficiency.

Currently, the market has introduced many sustainable building materials, among which materials sourced from wood not only offer high technical efficiency but also contribute positively to reducing environmental impact, thanks to their renewable nature and carbon absorption capabilities.

Sustainable wood materials

If in the past, illegal logging or the durability and termite resistance of wood were concerns for people regarding this material, today, with the advancement of technology and the development of sustainable forestry practices, these issues have been addressed.

Building materials sourced from sustainable wood are gradually asserting their position in the construction industry, thanks to their environmental friendliness and renewable nature.

One of the typical solutions for sustainable wood is cross-laminated timber (CLT). It is considered a revolutionary construction solution made from wood, created by stacking and bonding multiple layers of wood perpendicular to each other.

CLT not only exhibits excellent structural strength, sound insulation, and thermal insulation but also offers fast construction speed, minimizing carbon emissions compared to traditional materials.

Another solution is treated wood. Wood treated with advanced technologies enhances its durability and resistance to termites, mold, warping, cracking, and splitting.

These materials provide an ideal solution for both exterior and interior applications, offering high durability and requiring minimal maintenance costs.

Building materials sourced from sustainable wood not only possess renewable capabilities and versatility in applications but also bring high aesthetic value to every project, contributing to minimizing negative impacts.
