Masterise Homes breaks ground on The Sun Tower

Masterise Homes performed the ground-breaking ceremony for The Sun Tower on March 22. The event follows a successful year of the Marriott branded residence project since its launch in January 2021.

This building is at the intersection of Ton Duc Thang and Nguyen Huu Canh streets, with direct access to the Ba Son metro station of metro line No. 1.

The Sun Tower, according to Masterise Homes' representative, is positioned to become an iconic tower overlooking the riverbank square.

The skyscraper, which stands next to eight Marriott and JW Marriott residence towers in Grand Marina, has a height of 55 floors and five basements.

The Sun Tower has about 106,000 sq.m of office and high-end commercial space, including 87,000 sq.m of Grade A office space. Putting it among the largest office buildings in HCMC when completed, Masterise Homes aims to attain LEED Gold certification for the building.

The tower has a distinctive design where new floor plates are shifted to create a large terrace for networking spaces. Each of the five podiums offers an attraction for a unique and "instagrammable" retail experience.

The Sun Tower will bring together the world’s prestigious companies and luxury retail brands, offering shopping, entertainment, and dining facilities for not only office workers but also the residents of Grand Marina, Saigon.

Besides, the building's interior features an elegant warm palette.

"Located in the heart of the CBD with excellent connectivity, The Sun Tower is expected to be the hub of businessmen, multinational corporations, and global companies, and become exemplary for future grade A office and retail space in Vietnam," said Turnbull.

Masterise Homes appointed Mace as its project management partner in The Sun Tower, a global consultancy and construction firm headquartered in London, UK, whose some of the world’s iconic structures including The Shard (London, the U.K.), Jumeirah Beach Residence (Dubai, the UAE), and Landmark 81 (HCMC, Vietnam).

This commercial office building is projected to be finished in 2023.

Grand Marina, Saigon is a branded residence project in the heart of District 1, HCMC, developed by Masterise Homes, associated with two hotel brands - Marriott and JW Marriott.

The complex consists of eight residence towers, an office building called The Sun Tower, an 850m waterfront promenade, a series of manicured public gardens and themed parks, and the first marina in District 1.
