VN-Index lands 10 consecutive sessions in green

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index rose 1.38 percent to 1079.28 points Monday, making it tenth consecutive session in the green.

The index closed 14.64 points higher after gaining 5.20 points on Friday.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) increased by 19.82% percent to VND14.17 trillion ($604.1 million).

The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 24 tickers gain.

PDR of Phat Dat Real Estate Development JSC rose 6%, followed by VIC of giant Vingroup JSC with a 5.45% increase.

TCB of Techcombank saw a slight improvement of 3.35%.

On the other hand, VJC of budget carrier Vietjet saw a decline of 2.38%. SAB of brewer Sabeco and MSN of conglomerate Masan Group dropped 2% and 1.29%, respectively.

Foreign investors were net sellers to the tune of VND313.44 billion.

The HNX-Index at the Hanoi Stock Exchange, where mid and small caps list, was up 1.44% while the UPCoM-Index at the Unlisted Public Companies Market was up by 0.68%.
