Gold prices inch up

Saigon Jewelry Company gold bar price went up 0.67% to VND90.5 million ($3,555.57) per tael Tuesday morning.

Gold ring price gained 0.20% to VND76.6 million per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Globally gold prices held steady on Tuesday as the dollar eased, while investors looked forward to key U.S. inflation data that could offer clues on how soon the Federal Reserve can cut interest rates, Reuters reported.

Spot gold was flat at $2,350.85 per ounce after rising about 1% in the previous session.

U.S. gold futures rose 0.8% to $2,352.00.
