Gold prices fall

Gold ring price fell 0.77% to VND76.8 million per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Globally gold prices fell for a third straight session on Thursday after minutes from the most recent Federal Reserve meeting indicated that some officials were inclined to raise interest rates, Reuters reported.

Spot gold fell 0.3% at $2,370.74 per ounce, after falling more than 1% in the previous session. Bullion hit a record high of $2,449.89 on Monday.

U.S. gold futures were down 0.8% at $2,373.00.
