Saigon Jewelry Company gold bar price were steady at VND76.98 million ($3,027.85) per tael Friday morning after dropping 14.66% in the last nine days.

Gold ring price inched up by 0.13% to VND75.2 million per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Globally, gold price is seen oscillating in a narrow trading range during the Asian session on Friday and consolidating its gains to a two-week high registered over the past two days, FXStreet reported.

Investors now opt to move to the sidelines and wait for the release of the closely-watched monthly employment details from the U.S.

The popularly known Nonfarm Payrolls (NFP) report will play a key role in influencing the Federal Reserve's future policy decisions, which, in turn, should provide a fresh impetus to the non-yielding yellow metal.

Gold price was at $2,385.84 per ounce at the time of publishing.
