Gold price rose in Vietnam Thursday afternoon as the global rally of the safe-haven metal continued.

Saigon Jewelry Company gold price went up 0.58% to VND86.2 million (US$3,391.37) per tael, highest since Nov. 8.

Gold ring gained 0.82% to VND85.6 million per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Globally gold prices rose for a fourth straight session on Thursday, driven by safe-haven demand amid escalating tensions in the Russia-Ukraine conflict, while investors awaited remarks from U.S. Federal Reserve policymakers on the interest rate outlook, Reuters reported.

Spot gold was up 0.3% at $2,657.40 per ounce, hitting its highest since Nov. 11.

U.S. gold futures rose 0.3% to $2,659.90.
