Vietnam gasoline prices rose Thursday afternoon following a drop to a 5-week low last week.

The popular fuel RON95 gained 0.19% to VND 20,200 (US$0.77) per liter.

Biofuel E5 RON92 went up 0.05% to VND19,620.

Diesel saw a 2.03% increase to VND19,030.

In the last seven days, fuel prices were influenced by several factors such as an expected boost to OPEC+'s oil production in October and November; an increase in the U.S.' oil inventory; and Ukraine continuing attacks on Russian energy facilities, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Globally, RON95 rose 0.3% to $80.7 per barrel while diesel gained 2.4%.
