Gasoline prices drop to near 5-year low

Vietnam gasoline prices on Thursday plunged to the lowest since February 2021.

The popular fuel RON95 dropped 1.85% to VND18,560 (US$0.71) per liter.

Biofuel RON92 fell 1.08% to VND18,230.

Diesel declined 1.10% to VND17,060.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade said that the global petroleum market in recent days has been influenced by several factors, including the OPEC+ agreeing to keep oil production output stable in the first quarter.

The average price of RON95 fell by 2.4% to $72.2 per barrel while diesel declined by 1.3% to $78.85.
