The government is finalizing a decree, which it has been developing for two years, to reduce intermediary in fuel trading. Under the new decree, the government would no longer announce base prices at regular intervals as it does now.

Major fuel traders and distributors would set retail prices within their own networks using a prescribed formula and would be required to declare those prices for regulatory inspection and supervision.
