Vietnam gasoline price rose to a five-week high Thursday afternoon, its third rising week in a row.

The popular fuel RON95 went up 2.40% to VND20,910 (US$0.81) per liter.

Biofuel E5 RON92 increased by 1.70% to VND20,370.

Diesel gained 1.43% to VNBD18,470.

Regulators said that the global oil market over the past seven days has been influenced by several factors, including an increase in U.S. crude oil inventories.

The U.S. also announced a 10% tariff on all imported goods, along with higher tariffs on major trading partners, including Vietnam at 46%.

These factors pushed fuel prices up. RON95 rose 3.1% to $84.86 per barrel. Diesel increased by 1.7% to $87.46.
