Prices of Ri6 and Monthong durians were stable on Thursday in the Mekong Delta and Central Highlands, Vietnam's two largest durian-growing areas.

Each kilogram of the highest-grade Ri6 durian cost VND160,000 (US$6.3) in both regions, the same price as Wednesday.

Monthong durian prices in the two areas also stood firm at VND175,000 per kilogram.

For export, prices of the Ri6 variety and the Thai cultivar were unchanged at VND152,000 and VND179,000 per kilogram, respectively.

According to Vietnamese magazine Doanh Nghiep va Hoi Nhap, durian prices have stabilized after rising in recent weeks. However, their prices remain at high levels.
