Vietcombank sold the greenback at VND26,309, a 0.02% uptick from Tuesday. The currency gained 0.1% to around VND26,858 on the black market.
The State Bank of Vietnam hiked its reference rate by 0.02% to VND25,057.
Globally, Asian currencies rose on Wednesday, recovering from Tuesday's losses, as investors are weighing the U.S. Supreme Court's decision blocking President Donald Trump's tariffs imposed using emergency powers and eyeing his speech for signals on trade policy, Reuters reported.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against a basket of currencies including the yen and the euro, fell 0.05% to 97.84, with the euro up 0.05% at $1.1777.
The yen strengthened 0.12% against the greenback to 155.7 per dollar, after dropping by 0.8% on Tuesday.
The Australian dollar rose 0.3% to $0.7074 after a pickup in inflation raised the risk of rate hikes. Elsewhere the New Zealand dollar inched higher to $0.5971.
