Nguyen Duc Le, deputy director of the Vietnam Directorate of Market Surveillance’s market surveillance department, said the owner of the stocks constantly moved from one warehouse to another to evade authorities.
The person mostly sold on e-commerce platforms and social media such as Facebook, he said, adding at the time of the raid many products had been packed and were ready to be shipped to buyers.
Earlier this month a warehouse in Vu Ban District in the northern province of Nam Dinh was found to have 20,000-30,000 fake Hermes, Louis Vuitton and Chanel products.
The local police and market authorities described it as the biggest bust in northern Vietnam and said they had to use 10 large trucks to transport the seized goods.
