Tay Ninh Province plans to build two new roads and upgrade an existing one at the cost of VND4.5 trillion ($195.1 million) to improve connectivity in the southeastern region.

One of the new roads will be the 48-kilometer long N8-787B-789, running between the province’s Trang Bang Town and Duong Minh Chau District. The road is expected to cost over VND3.4 trillion and be completed in 2025.

The road will connect Tay Ninh’s Thanh Thanh Cong Industrial Zones, Linh Trung 3 Industrial Park and a multifunctional complex in Trang Bang Town.

The other new road, the 16-km long Road DT 794, will connect Tay Ninh’s Tan Dong village with HCMC's Saigon River, running through the provinces of Binh Duong and Binh Phuoc. The four-lane road is expected to cost nearly VND500 billion. Construction is set to be completed by 2024.

Road 795, which runs 36 kilometers from Tan Bien Town to Dau Tieng Lake, Vietnam’s largest artificial lake, will be upgraded at the cost of VND564 billion. This project is also expected to be completed by 2024.

Currently, the only road connecting Tay Ninh Province and HCMC is National Highway 22, which is overloaded.
