It takes an average worker in Singapore six work days to afford an iPhone 17 Pro, while in Hanoi, the figure is 60 days, a study has found.

Singapore leads the list of 11 cities in Southeast Asia in terms of iPhone 17 Pro affordability thanks to its high average income, according to a recent study by news outlet Seasia, which compiles data from several sources including cost of living platform Numbeo and recruitment platform Talentnet.

The city-state is followed by Brunei’s Bandar Seri Begawan, where workers can get the iPhone after 13 work days. The study assumes worker is buying the 256GB version.

The figure is 20 days in Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur, 30 days in Indonesia’s Jakarta, 32 days in Thailand’s Bangkok, and 50 days in the Philippines’ Manila.

Hanoi is among the bottom five of the list, as an average worker takes two months to afford the iPhone 17 Pro, which is being priced at around VND35 million (US$1,325).
