Techcombank chairman Ho Hung Anh, his wife, and their affiliates hold nearly 33% of the lender, a new disclosure has shown.

Anh’s wife Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy is the individual with the biggest ownership in the bank at 4.94%. Together with her affiliates they own a 32.78% stake.

Among her affiliates are her three children with a combined 11.83% stake. Anh himself holds a 1.12% stake.

Six individuals and seven organizations hold a combined 52.26% stake in Techcombank. Masan Group is the biggest organization shareholder with a 14.89% stake.

The Government of Singapore holds a 1.01% stake while Morgan Stanley & Co. International Plc. Holds 1.45%.

A new regulation that came into effect last month requires banks to disclose details of shareholders with a 1% stake or more to increase transparency in ownership. The rule used to apply only to shareholders with a 5% stake minimum.
