Thai Son, a subsidiary of Vinhomes, plans to build an urban area and a golf course in two northern localities at a cost of VND23.4 trillion (US$962 million).

The company is seeking permits from Tuyen Quang Province authorities to build an urban area and resort complex called My Lam – Tuyen Quang at over VND17 trillion.

It has applied for Bac Giang Province permits to build the VND-6.4 trillion Nham Bien Mountain Golf Course.

Tuyen Quang is 127 kilometers northwest of Hanoi, while Bac Giang is 58 km northeast.

My Lam – Tuyen Quang will spread over 540 hectares and house 20,000 residents.

The golf course will need 134 hectares and also include a residential area for 5,800 people.

Giant developer Vinhomes owns a 99.8% stake in the Hanoi-based Thai Son.
